The three billy goats Gruff Game

Theme

This game relates to the theme “roles reversed” in two ways.

• A lot of platformers have it that a boss is a giant while the hero is small.  As an example, the final boss, Bowser, of “New Super Mario Bros. 2“.  In this game however you are that boss.
• It is based on the Norwegian fairytale “The three billy goats Gruff” or “De tre bukkene Bruse” as we say in Norway.  Instead of playing as the three goat protagonists you play as the evil antagonist, The Troll.

 

Controls

• Mouse
• esc for exit

 

Gameplay

• Jumping goats can hurt you.  Try to attacking then when they are on the ground.
• Hit the goats whit your fists.
• The faster your fist moves the harder you hit.
• Do not move your mouse around the screen chaotically.  You will get hurt.
• Your healthbar is on the left.  The goats healthbars are on the right.

 

The “The three billy goats Gruff Game” is made for “GMTK Game Jam 2023”.  This is my first game jam.

Update:

• Added versision 2 of the game.
  • Fixed the issue whit the game crashing when the game tries to display text. 

  •  Added blood to show when the goats were invulnerable.  This should also help whit getting feedback when the goats get hurt.
